Markie was born and raised in St. George, Utah. Think “Zion National Park.” Drew was born and raised in Murray, Utah, a suburb of Salt Lake City. They first met in May of 2013 at a random birthday party of mutual friends. Markie used the line, “Will you text me when you get home?”, in order to exchange phone numbers with Drew. Every day from that point forward, they were together. Markie’s roommates were surprised when Drew kept coming around and Markie wasn’t sick of him yet. Markie wondered the same thing, but went with it. Almost 10 years later and Markie STILL isn’t sick of Drew!! The happy couple wed in April of 2014 and have been in marriage bliss ever since. Although they have seen their fair share of tough times, they have chosen to lean on each other instead of apart. They believe that that is what has kept their relationship healthy. They went on to have three children almost back to back. They have been through a lot together; being broke as a joke, having to share a car, living on top ramen. They have had their fare share of family adversity as well; having a child with special needs, losing another one to congenital heart problems, adoption failures, failed surrogacy (TWICE), Drew’s career that takes him across the country for months at a time, and so.
