HOW TO REACH YOUR 2023 Goals!

What you can do NOW to make sure you hit all your goals in 2023.

Setting a goal is when you identify what you want, and come up with a plan of what to do to help you achieve it!

Most of us have a goal, but we aren’t breaking that goal down into smaller steps/habits in order to reach them. It is important to have smaller daily, weekly, monthly goals, in order to reach our full potential.

3 things to think about when setting goals

  • Be realistic… Fore example, if you are a high school student, chances are you aren’t going to become a brain surgeon this year. Make sure you are setting goals that are REACHABLE so that you don’t set yourself up for failure.
  • Commitment and desire is EVERYTHING. They always say that a drug addict won’t get help for their addiction until THEY are ready to get help. Make sure your goal is what YOU want.
  • Challenge yourself! There is no growth when you don’t step outside of your comfort zone.

Why daily goals are important:

  • So you can prioitize your time.
  • Create a plan of action to work on.
  • Make slow and steady progress.
  • Helps create habits
  • Celebrate the small achievements made every day.

Why weekly goals are important:

  • Sets momentum
  • Helps give you confidence

Why Monthly goals are imporant:

  • You’re able to look back and SEE the difference.
  • Reinforces motivation
  • Review and alter your plan if needed.

Remember to give yourself grace. No one is perfect and it’s easy to get discouraged if you mess up on a habit or two. Just remember that your goal is to ultimately make you a better, happier, more fulfilled person… NOT PERFECT. If you miss today of achieving your habits, get focused and back on track tomorrow. Don’t let one day derail your entire week, month, year.

  • Prioritize self care (me-time)
  • Travel outside of the country.
  • Start journalling (this is mine with this blog :))
  • Spend more time in nature.
  • Try to live a more active lifestyle.
  • Get a new hobby. Such as knitting, gardening, painting.
